popup error

There are three reasons you might see this page:

  1. Most likely - You right-clicked (ctrl-click on Mac) on an image or glossary entry and selected "open in new window".

Just use a left button click to view glossary entries or larger images. They are already configured to come up in a small pop-up window. Please close this window and try again with the left button.

  2. Possible - You have popup blocking software installed.

With all of the annoying popup ads out there, we can't blame you. However, most of these programs have a way to allow popups you actually want to see. Usually by pressing the "shift" or "control" key while clicking on the link, the popup will be allowed. Check the instructions or read-me file that came with your popup blocking software.

  3. Also Possible - You have javascript turned off in your browser security settings.

Check your security settings on your browser's "Preferences" or "Options" menu. Make sure "scripting", "active scripting" or "javascript" is enabled.

  4. Not Likely - You have a very old browser that can not handle inline javascript.

If this is the case, most of AstronomyDaily.com will not work right. You really need to download a newer browser. If you use Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, you'll need version 4 or newer.
